WCW, Tom Brandi

Tom Brandi is a pro wrestler better know for his work in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) as Salvatore Sincere.
He is also know for his current work as The Patriot, working for wrestling promotions such as Pro-Wrestling WORLD-1, National Wrestling Superstars, and other independent wrestling promotions on the East Coast.
But before Tom showed up in the WWF as Salvatore Sincere, he worked for WCW as Johnny Gunn.
There he was pretty successful as one half of a tag team with "Z-Man" Tom Zenk.

Although he never held any titles in WCW, he did hold the AWA Superstars of Wrestling World Tag Team Championship with Buff Bagwell, the Eastern Championship Wrestling (ECW) Tag Team Championship with Tommy Dreamer, the Independent Wrestling Association Mid-South (IWA) Heavyweight Championship, the International World Class Championship Wrestling (IWCCW) Tag Team Championship with King Mike Kaluah, the IWCCW Television Championship, and the NWA 2000 NWA National Heavyweight Championship.

WCW, Sting

wcw sting

Even though Sting (Steve Borden) is in TNA now, we all remember him from his WCW days.
To cover this man's career would take an entire blog by itself I think.
But here are just the highlights of his career....
NWA World Heavyweight Champion
NWA World Television Champion
WCW International World Heavyweight Champion (twice)
WCW United States Heavyweight Champion (twice)
WCW World Heavyweight Champion (six times)
WCW World Tag Team Champion (3 times with Lex Luger, The Giant and Kevin Nash)

And also the thing I am proudest of....
He NEVER signed with the WWE!
You can respect the wrestler and respect the man.

Did you know that besides wrestling, Sting appeared in "The Nightmare Room", "Walker, Texas Ranger" and "Shutterspeed"?

WCW: Miss Alexandra York

WCW Miss Alexandra York

Terri Lynne Boatright Runnels began her career in wrestling in WCW as Miss Alexandra York, manager of the York Foundation.
She actually started out doing Larry King's make-up on CNN, but on the weekends, she did the makeup for the wrestlers of Jim Crockett Promotions.
In 1988 when Ted Turner bought JCP and renamed the show "World Championship Wrestling", Terri moved to Atlanta, Georgia and kept doing make-up for some of the wrestlers.
She caught the eye of then booker Ole Anderson (formerly one half of the infamous "Minnesota Wrecking Crew") who asked Terri to appear onscreen as a manager.
Over a lunch with WCW announcer Tony Schiavone, they came up with the idea of Miss Alexandra York, a laptop-carrying accountant who led an alliance known as the York Foundation.
Some notable members of the York Foundation included Thomas Rich ("Wildfire" Tommy Rich) , Richard Morton (one half of the The Rock 'n' Roll Express) , Terrance Taylor (Terry Taylor) and Michael Wallstreet (aka Mike Rotunda aka Irwin R. Schyster or I.R.S) .

Terri as Miss Alexandra York stayed with WCW for six years before leaving for the WWF.

Nitro Girl Spice

Nitro Girl Spice

Melissa Anne Bellin was born on May 29, 1973, in Meadville, Pennsylvania.
She worked for the WCW as a dancer, valet and wrestler, and you may remember her better under her ring name, Nitro Girl Spice.
Before joining WCW, she was a Chiropractic student, waitress, bartender, model, aerobics instructor and personal trainer.
She started with the WCW Nitro Girls as Spice in 1997.
When Kimberly Page left the group in 1999, Spice started a feud with Nitro Girl A.C. Jazz over control of the group.
Jazz left the WCW and she was replaced with Nitro Girl Tygress.
They actually wrestled on the November 22, 1999 episode of WCW Monday Nitro, but it went to a no contest.
Spice later started a feud with Madusa after Madusa caught Spice flirting with Evan Karagias.
This lead to a match that ended with Spice pinning Madusa!
Spice then became Evan's manager, but she turned on him, cost him his WCW Cruiserweight Championship in a match with Madusa, and wound up managing her.

After Spice left WCW, she went on to join the group Diversity 5 with other ex-Nitro Girls Teri Byrne (Fyre), Sharmell Sullivan (Storm), Chae An (Chae) and Vanessa Sanchez (Tygress) and Chiquita Anderson (Chiquita).

Besides dancing, she choreographed for groups like the WCW Nitro Girls, D.C. Dancers, Reebok (she also danced for them) and the Miss Fitness USA competitors.

Michelle has gone back to her first love, and is now a chiropractor.

Spice also made an appearance in the 2000 movie, "Ready to Rumble".

In doing research for this, I ran across a website that has a ton of pictures of Spice on it......
