WCW: El Dandy

Roberto Gutiérrez Frías is a Mexican professional wrestler born on October 2, 1962 in Tijuana, Baja California.
He is best known by his ring name, El Dandy.
El Dandy had wrestled with the Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) promotion in Mexico, but he is best known in the US because of his time spent in the WCW.
In WCW, El Dandy was basically a midcard wrestler, but he did have a few moments of glory.
He was a member of the Latino World Order led by Eddie Guerrero.
On March 22, 1999 on WCW Monday Nitro, he almost had a shot at the WCW Champion Ric Flair, when Flair drew his name in a random drawing. El Dandy had been injured earlier that night in an 8-man tag team bout so he turned his chance over to a fellow luchador, Rey Mysterio, Jr.
El Dandy briefly partnered with Silver King in 2000 to form Los Fabulosos. Stacy Keibler managed the team and lead them to their first major victories in WCW.
His place in wrestling was cemented in a interview between Bret Hart and Gene Okerlund when Gene doubted El Dandy being a worthy opponent for Bret. Bret responded with "Who are you to doubt El Dandy?" and a wrestling catch phrase was created.
You can see the interview here.

Bryan Clark, Jr./ KroniK / Wrath

Bryan Clark, Jr. (Bryan Clark or Bryan Clarke), was born March 14, 1964 in Tallahassee, Florida. He is an American professional wrestler, best known for his appearances with the WWF ( as Adam Bomb and one half of KroniK) and WCW (as Mortis) .

Bryan Clark's pro wrestling debut was replacing the injured Scott Hall at Starrcade '91. After that he appeared in Chicago Championship Wrestling, American Wrestling Association, Smoky Mountain Wrestling, and the UWF.

Clark rejoined the WCW in 1997 as Wrath, teaming with Mortis.

After a couple of injuries, he returned to he WCW forming a tag team with Brian Adams known as KroniK.

Kronik won the WCW Tag Team Wrestling Titles at Bash at the Beach on July 9. KroniK held the titles until August 13, 2000 when they were beaten by Vampiro and The Great Muta.

Goldberg beat both Clark and Adams in a Handicap Match at Halloween Havoc.

KroniK acted as hired muscle, helping The Boogie Knights (Alex Wright and Disco Inferno) battle the Filthy Animals, and eventually working for their former enemies, the Natural Born Thrillers.

KroniK turned face once again in January 2001 , siding with Ernest Miller. They were eventually sidelined when Clark was split open with a chair, needing stitches, and Adams was hospitalized with appendicitis. While both members of KroniK were injured, WCW was purchased by the WWF in March 2001.

WCW: Ciclope

Manuel Ortiz Partida was born May 22, 1971 in Tijuana, Baja California. He is a pro wrestler who is currently wrestling on the Independent Circuit in Mexico, particularly in the Tijuana area.
He is better known by his stage name Halloween.

Manuel Ortiz Partida made his pro wrestling debut in 1990 at Auditorio de Tijuana in Tijuana, Baja California. He spent his time in the Independent Circuit.
He wrestled as "Halloween" for most of his career but switched to "Ciclope" in 1996 when he went to WCW.
Ciclope was neglected in WCW, even when compared to the other luchadors there at the time.
His biggest moment in WCW was as part of the feud between then Cruiserweight Champion Chris Jericho and Dean Malenko.
Malenko, who had been inactive for several months, dressed up as Ciclope to win a Cruiserweight battle royale to determine the number one contender for Chris Jericho's Cruiserweight Title.
Jericho had been refusing to grant Malenko a match, making the disguise necessary.
All Ciclope got out of the deal was a singles match with Jericho on Nitro, which he lost.

Here's a video of Rey Mysterio Jr wrestling Ciclope in the WCW.

WCW: Shark Boy

Ring name(s) Shark Boy,El Piranah,Dean Baldwin
Billed height 5 ft 10 in (178 cm)
Billed weight 180 lb (82 kg)
Born January 28, 1974,Dayton, Ohio
Billed from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
Deep Under the Sea
Deep Blue Sea
Trained by Les Thatcher
Pro Wrestling Debut May 3, 1997

Dean Roll (born January 28, 1975), better known by his ring name Shark Boy, is an American professional wrestler who debuted with Heartland Wrestling Association and is currently working for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling and on the independent circuit. He is also the owner of Buckeye Pro Wrestling, and operates a professional wrestling school known as The Shark Tank. Despite his relatively poor win/loss record, he remains a solid fan favorite.

Ian Rotten helped Roll conceive the "Shark Boy" stage name, inspired by the 1995 song "I Come From the Water" by the Toadies, his theme tune. Roll has also occasionally appeared as Dean Baldwin, a gimmick in which he played an unknown member of the Baldwin acting family; Baldwin was to be seen as a nemesis for Shark Boy.

In the latter days of World Championship Wrestling, Shark Boy often competed on WCW Saturday Night.

In 2004, Shark Boy formed a comedy tag team with D-Ray 3000 for the better half of the year, until D-Ray left the company. The duo was mentioned during a video package where people impersonating Vince McMahon and Triple H "invaded" TNA to find a tape of TNA wrestlers going to "welcome" the World Wrestling Entertainment crew doing a show at Universal Studios where TNA regularly tapes. "Triple H" finds a tape, but "Vince" angrily says "This is The Best of D-Ray and Shark Boy!"

In September 2005, Shark Boy spent two weeks in India along with Sonjay Dutt and Simon Diamond. The trio of TNA employees visited several cities, promoting the debut of iMPACT! on ESPN Star Sports. On September 28 in Bhopal, a riot broke out when 1000 fans were excluded from an event after attendance exceeded expectations. None of the three TNA wrestlers were injured.

Currently, Shark Boy can be seen tagging semi-regularly with Norman Smiley. On the October 5 iMPACT! Shark Boy pinned Eric Young in a loser-leaves-TNA match.

On the February 16, 2007 edition of iMPACT! Shark Boy returned, teaming with Norman Smiley in a loss to LAX.

Shark Boy often wrestles with independent wrestling promotions all over the United States and has appeared in Main Event World League (an independent promotion ran out of Alliance, Ohio) and Reigned from February to November as the Cruiserweight Champion.

WCW: Rip Rogers

Height: 6 ft 1 in (1.85 m)
Weight: 237 lbs.
Birthday: February 14, 1955
Hometown: Seymour, Indiana, United States
Debut: 1974
Managers: Brenda Britton, Max Andrews
Other Gimmicks: Disco Kid, Hustler Rip Rogers

Rip Rogers is a former professional wrestler and was a trainer for Ohio Valley Wrestling.

Rip Rogers started wrestling in 1974. He formed the "Convertible Blondes" with Pez Whatley and Gary Royal in Angelo Poffo's ICW and won the Tag Team Titles with Royal. As with the three-member version of Demolition defending the WWF World Tag Team Championship with any two of the three members, the Convertible Blondes also used the so-called "Freebird Rule" to defend the ICW Tag Team Championship in this manner.

In 1984, he went to the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA)'s Jim Crockett Promotions where he formed "The Hollywood Blondes" with Ted Oates and won the National Tag Team Titles. By early 1986, he was in the Tennessee area feuding with Dutch Mantel.

In 1989, he wrestled for the World Wrestling Council in Puerto Rico as one of their top heels with partner Abbuda Dein.

He was back in the NWA in time for it to be renamed World Championship Wrestling (WCW) in 1991 and he lost several matches to Brian Pillman. His biggest win was at WCW BattleBowl in 1993 where he teamed with Road Warrior Hawk and defeated Davey Boy Smith & Stevie Ray then named Kole. By late 1991, he had left WCW for the Global Wrestling Federation where he joined The Cartel, which included Scotty Anthony, Makhan Singh and Cactus Jack. They were the top heels for several months and he created a lot of havoc while there.

After that run, he popped up here and there in the United States and finally settled in Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) in 1997. He teamed with Dave the Rave and formed the "Suicide Blondes" with Jason Lee. When he retired in 2000, he was named head trainer at OVW.

He was released from that position in March 2004 by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) although Rogers still currently runs the intermediate wrestling classes at OVW.

In the 1980s, Rip appeared in a music video by John Cougar Mellencamp. The two grew up in the same town of Seymour, Indiana.

Often after losing a match, Rogers would make vociferous complaints to the referee, vehemently declaring that his opponent had cheated to pick up the win. Rogers would accompany these complaints by wild gyrations, often acting out in an over-the-top manner what he was claiming his opponent had done (e.g. pulling Roger's wrestling trunks).

WCW: Big Bubba Rogers

Ring name(s) Big Bubba Rogers,Big Boss Man,The Boss,The Guardian Angel,Ray Traylor,The War Machine,The Bossman
Billed height 6 ft 7 in (201 cm)
Billed weight 312 lb (142 kg)
Born May 2, 1962,Marietta, Georgia
Died September 22, 2004
Paulding County, Georgia
Billed from The Correctional Facility in Cobb County
Trained by Mickey Henry
Pro Wrestling Debut 1985

Raymond ("Ray") Traylor (May 2, 1962 – September 22, 2004) was an American professional wrestler. He was perhaps best known for his appearances with the World Wrestling Federation under the ring name The Big Boss Man.

A prison guard that moonlighted as a wrestler, Traylor first debuted for the AWA then for the National Wrestling Alliance's Jim Crockett Promotions in 1986 under his given name as a jobber. After wrestling a handful of matches, booker Dusty Rhodes saw potential in him and took him off TV for a few months to be repackaged. He would re-emerge under the name Big Bubba Rogers, serving as the silent bodyguard of manager Jim Cornette. His first appearance saw him straightening his tie in response to a chair shot by Rhodes. This would lead to them feuding across the country in a precursor to "Hardcore" Battle Royales called The Bunkhouse Stampede, in which the winner of the most Battle Royales would win a $100,000 USD (kayfabe) cash prize. Bubba and Rhodes ended up tied in the number of wins at the end of the Bunkhouse Stampede Tour, leading to a 1 on 1 match to decide who got the prize. Rhodes came away victorious. He also wrestled in the Universal Wrestling Federation, where he won the UWF Heavyweight Title from his future tag team partner One Man Gang in 1987. He became well known as a big man who could move very quickly and perform many moves usually reserved for wrestlers 80-100 pounds lighter.

By 1988, Traylor had joined the World Wrestling Federation as the Big Boss Man, a character who was formerly a prison guard in Cobb County, Georgia (Traylor had actually been a jail guard for a time in that area, a fact the WWF exploited to bring in the character Nailz, a former convict who believed Traylor had wronged him). Traylor enjoyed a good deal of success in the company, first as a heel, challenging for Hulk Hogan's WWF World Championship also teaming with Akeem in the Twin Towers, and later as a face, befriending Hogan and opposing Bobby Heenan's stable of wrestlers, the Heenan Family, including a memorable encounter with Mr. Perfect at WrestleMania VII in 1991. Boss Man would go on to beat wrestlers such as Ted DiBiase, Dino Bravo, and The Mountie.

After leaving the WWF in 1993, Traylor had a brief stint in All Japan Pro Wrestling before returning to the United States to work for World Championship Wrestling. Traylor was originally known as The Boss, but the WWF legal department determined the character to be too similar to the one that Traylor had portrayed in the WWF and forced WCW to change it. As a result, Traylor became the Guardian Angel, a character based on the real-life Guardian Angels group. Once again, the character did not last long before Traylor returned to his original Big Bubba character.

Big Bubba was a solid mid-card heel, joining the Dungeon of Doom faction before eventually defecting to the nWo. Eventually, a loophole in Bubba's contract forced him out of the nWo (according to storylines). As a result of this, Bubba became a face once again and began competing under his real name - Ray Traylor. He frequently worked with the Steiner Brothers during this time period. This was not the most successful period of Traylor's career, as he rarely rose above the mid-card.He also appeared briefly as a suprise partner for the Rock N Roll Express vs Jim Cornette's Heavily Bodies.Cornette thinking they were still friends was incorrect as Big Bubba Rogers was successful in helping defeat Cornette and the Bodies.

Traylor died in his home from a "massive" heart attack related to years of anabolic steroid use in Paulding County, Georgia on September 22, 2004 at the age of 42.

WCW: Lord Steven Regal

Ring name(s) Steve Regal,Lord Steven Regal,Steven Regal,William Regal,Sir William Regal
Billed height 191 cm (6 ft 3 in)
Billed weight 109 kg (240 lb)
Born May 10, 1968,Codsall Wood, Staffordshire
Billed from Blackpool
Trained by Marty Jones
Pro wrestling debut 1983

Darren Nathaniel Matthews (born May 10th, 1968) is an English professional wrestler, better known by his ring name William Regal. He is currently wrestling on the SmackDown! brand of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and in Deep South Wrestling.

The left-handed Matthews made his ring debut wrestling in carnivals on the piers of Blackpool at the age of fifteen. He also wrestled professionally in England, where he regularly teamed with Robbie Brookside, before going to the United States in 1992. He wrestled his first few matches under the name Roy Regal before settling on the name Steve Regal, a name he saw in an American wrestling magazine (in use by "Mr. Electricity" Steve Regal).

Matthews started in WCW as Steve Regal, beginning as a face. He was turned into the heel Lord Steven Regal in 1993, claiming descent from William the Conqueror. At times charmingly arrogant in this persona, one of his memorable statements to a post-match interviewer was, "Do you know what my New Year's resolution is going to be? To wake up a half an hour earlier so I can hate you more," he smirked.

WCW: Lord Steven Regal

He was given a manager, Sir William and he won the Television Title four times. He teamed up with fellow aristocrat Jean-Paul Levesque, later known as Triple H, but after Levesque left WCW, he was replaced by Alabama-born Bobby Eaton. Regal formed the team The Blue Bloods and had some hilarious vignettes where he tried to teach Eaton the finer points of dining and the proper usage of the Queen's English. He renamed him "Earl Robert Eaton" and soon added "Squire" David Taylor, as well. They came close to winning the WCW Tag Team Titles, but never did. Among his feuds in WCW were Ricky Steamboat, Johnny B. Badd, Ultimo Dragon, The Belfast Bruiser and the team of Dick Slater and Bunkhouse Buck. Regal also had a match with Shinya Hashimoto for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship during his stint in WCW. It was widely rumored that he was fired from WCW after no-selling Goldberg's offense and for using chain wrestling moves that showed Goldberg's limited knowledge of such holds. However, in his book, he states that was not true.

Regal's initial appearance in the WWF was on the June 29, 1998 edition of RAW is WAR, in which he defeated Droz via submission with the Regal Stretch. Regal had no particular gimmick in this showing, and he would not be seen on WWF television again until he returned that fall with a "Real Man's Man" builder/lumberjack style looking gimmick that was based on the image of The Brawny Man. Vignettes for the character showed him doing "manly" things like chopping wood, shaving with a plain razor, and squeezing his own orange juice. He debuted in October 1998 and entered a feud with X-Pac. The two faced off in the opening round of the tournament for the vacant WWF Championship at the 1998 Survivor Series. The match ended in a double countout, eliminating both men from the tournament. The feud, and Regal's gimmick, failed to capture the audience's imagination, though today the "Man's Man" persona is well remembered and the source of much good-natured fun from many fans.

Regal checked into rehab in January 1999 and was released from the WWF in April. After checking out of rehab, Regal was invited back into the wrestling world, making a somewhat brief return to WCW. While there, he gained exceptional status compared to the final months of his original tenure with the company.

Similar to his former run, much of Regal's performance took place in tag team bouts. He continued his role as a rulebreaking heel and had small feuds with teams such as the Filthy Animals. However, as WCW continued to lose the ratings war with WWF, Regal was again released in February 2000.

WCW - Ron Reis

Ring name(s) The Yeti,Reece,Big Ron Studd,Big Bomb Jones,Evil,Vanilla Gorilla
Billed height 7 ft 2 in (218 cm)
Billed weight 326 lb (166 kg)
Born April 26, 1970,San Jose, California
Trained by Big John Studd
Pro Wrestling Debut March 12, 1994

Ron Reis is an American professional wrestler, best known for his appearances with WCW in the late 1990s as The Yeti and Reese.

Ron Reis was trained in wrestling by Big John Studd. He joined WCW in 1995, appearing at Halloween Havoc encased in a giant block of ice as The Yeti, a member of the Dungeon of Doom. The Yeti later thawed out, and was revealed to be a large mummy. After Dungeon member The Giant defeated Hulk Hogan for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at Halloween Havoc 1995, Reis assisted with the post-match beating of Hogan when he administered a tandem bearhug with The Giant. His ring attire was subsequently changed so that he looked like a ninja. The inital look of The Yeti would, however, receive a following among the Internet Wrestling Community.

Reis later joined Raven's Flock as Reese, with Raven explaining that Reis' size had made him an outcast from society, leading him to seek acceptance within the Flock. Reis acted as Raven's enforcer, though he was unable to prevent Goldberg defeating Raven for the WCW United States Championship, and suffered an embarrassing loss to the far smaller Juventud Guerrera at the 1998 Great American Bash. The Flock eventually disbanded on September 13, 1998 at Fall Brawl when Perry Saturn defeated Raven to win the freedom of the Flock. Like many of the former Flock members, Reis lacked direction after the angle finished, and was released by WCW in 1999.

After being released, Reis toured Japan as Big Bomb Jones (a take on Big Van Vader created by Antonio Inoki) throughout 2000. In 2001 he returned to America and began working for Dusty Rhodes' Turnbuckle Championship Wrestling promotion as Big Ron Studd, a reference to his trainer. He formed a tag team with Ray Lloyd, and they won the TCW Tag Team Championships on January 3, 2002. The titles were vacated later that year.

Reis reemerged in Vince Russo's Christian orientated Glory Wrestling promotion in 2005 as the abstract character Evil, losing to Joshua the Carpenter on February 20.

WCW: Bruce Reed

Ring name(s) Bruce Reed,,"The Natural" Butch Reed,,"Hacksaw" Butch Reed,
Billed height 6 ft 2 in (188 cm)
Billed weight 260 lb (118 kg)
Born July 11, 1954,Detroit, Michigan
Billed from Kansas City, Missouri
Wrestling Debut 1978

Butch Reed (born Bruce Reed on July 11, 1954 in Detroit, Michigan) was a professional wrestler best known for his stints in the World Wrestling Federation and the National Wrestling Alliance.

Butch Reed started wrestling in 1978 in the Kansas City area after briefly playing professional football for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Reed wrestled in the NWA in the early 1980's and made a name for himself in Florida Championship Wrestling and Mid-South Wrestling from 1983 through early 1986 as "Hacksaw" Butch Reed. He won all of the titles there and feuded with Dick Slater, Magnum T.A., Junkyard Dog, and Dutch Mantel. Around this time, he also had a famous one-hour time-limit draw with NWA Champion "Nature Boy" Ric Flair.

He went back to Kansas City and obtained Slick as his manager in 1986. That summer, he lost a loser leaves town match to Bruiser Brody and left with Slick.

They went to the WWF where Reed dyed his hair blonde and became "The Natural" Butch Reed, an updated version of Sweet Daddy Siki. He feuded with Koko B. Ware and then with Intercontinental Champion Ricky Steamboat but no-showed the match where he was going to win the title and ended up in the WWF's dog house (the Honky Tonk Man won instead). Consequently, Reed exited quickly in the first Survivor Series main event (though his team, captained by Andre the Giant, would win the match), and in the 1988 Wrestlemania IV Championship Tournament, losing to eventual tournament winner "Macho Man" Randy Savage.

He left the WWF shortly after Wrestlemania IV and went to the NWA's Jim Crockett Promotions as "Hacksaw" Butch Reed. He resumed his Mid-South feud with Junkyard Dog and was briefly managed by James J. Dillon before his contract was "sold" to Hiro Matsuda's "Yamasaki Corporation". He also wrestled then-NWA TV Champion Sting for the TV title, but was unsuccessful at capturing the belt.

In 1989, he formed a team called Doom with Ron Simmons. They wore masks and were managed by Woman. She wanted them to beat Rick and Scott Steiner for the NWA World Tag Team Titles but they couldn't. Woman fired them and the Steiners took their masks in a match at the Clash of Champions.

Theodore Long became their manager and they won the Titles. They feuded with the Road Warriors and the team of Ric Flair & Arn Anderson (and later Anderson and Barry Windham, as Flair was involved in the "Black Scorpion" angle) before losing the titles to Michael Hayes and Jimmy Garvin in February 1991.

The promotion became WCW and Reed turned on Simmons, which started a feud. Simmons won the feud when he defeated Reed in a cage match at Super Brawl on May 19, 1991.

Reed then teamed with Cactus Jack and The Barbarian.

He left WCW in 1992 and wrestled in the United States Wrestling Association where he feuded with Junkyard Dog again before moving on to the Global Wrestling Federation in 1994. His stay there was brief and he was soon back on the independent scene in a semi-retirement stage so he could participate in the rodeo circuit in Kansas City.

Reed retired in 2002 after wrestling for Harley Race's WLW promotion and winning the title there.

Butch Reed once again returned to the ring in 2005 for Mid States Wrestling, and in July, 2006 for the USWF promotion, in Somerset, Kentucky.

Raven, Part 2

Raven dominated ECW in 1995-1996 and enjoyed two reigns as ECW World Heavyweight Champion during his tenure in ECW. His group of followers, Raven's Nest, included many names over his two-year stint in the company, including Cactus Jack, Stevie Richards, Tony Stetson, Johnny Hot Body, The Pit Bulls, The Dudley Boys, Brian Lee, The Bruise Brothers, Beulah McGillicutty, Kimona Wanalaya, Lori Fullington, The Blue Meanie, Super Nova, Chastity, and Lupus. He started a legendary feud with Tommy Dreamer that lasted for the next two years, before Dreamer finally defeated him at the ECW Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in June 1997. Also, during his first stint in ECW, he successfully defended the ECW World Heavyweight Title against Terry Gordy and Steve Williams, among others, giving Dr. Death his first loss in a singles match in the U.S. in many years. In June 1997, Raven faced Tommy Dreamer in a "Loser Leaves ECW" Match in a losing effort. Raven who didn't have all too much left to do in ECW received a huge offer from World Championship Wrestling.

In 1997 Levy left ECW and joined WCW, as an "unsigned free agent" (for storyline purposes). On June the 30th 1997, Raven is seen sitting in the front row at WCW Monday Nitro and the announcers recognize him as a champion from an independent organization. Then on August 21, 1997 at Clash of the Champions Raven brutally defeated Stevie Richards in an "unsanctioned" match then took a seat in the front row. The storyline continued that Raven would frequently appear in the front row for the next few months, slowly forming what would be known as The Flock. Raven eventually signed a (kayfabe) contract with WCW with J.J. Dillon that stipulated that he could wrestle only when he wanted and under his own rules. Thus, Raven's Rules is born.

On November 23, 1997 at World War III Raven met Scotty Riggs in a match in which Raven dropped Riggs into a chair, damaging Riggs' eye. Riggs later joined the Flock, as would Billy Kidman, Van Hammer, Horace, Lodi and Sick Boy. Leading the Flock, he enjoyed some moderate success, but nothing on the level of his former ECW main event status. He won the WCW U.S Heavyweight Championship as well as the WCW World Tag Team Championship, with Perry Saturn. The former reign lasted only a day as Raven defeated Diamond Dallas Page at a Pay Per View and lost the belt the following night to Bill Goldberg on WCW Monday Nitro.

Raven had a notable feud with Perry Saturn after losing the U.S Title to Goldberg. He blamed the flock and Saturn in particular for his loss. This led to a series of matches, the last of which happened at WCW Fall Brawl 98. Without the Flock, Raven began a series of depressing interviews and walked out on several matches. In October at WCWs Halloween Havoc 98, Raven refused to wrestle Chris Jericho for the Television Title, but eventually was convinced to return to the ring. He lost the match and wasn't seen until 1999. Rumors of a feud with Roddy Piper were in the works, but that was scrapped for an unknown reason. He was reunited with his former valet Chastity, who WCW claimed was his sister, and moved into other storylines, creating feuds with Chris Kanyon, Bam Bam Bigelow, and Hak (The Sandman). He later joined with Vampiro, and the Insane Clown Posse in a short-lived stable called The Dead Pool. In a meeting which involved every contracted WCW wrestler, when Eric Bischoff offered anyone their release right then and there, Raven was the only one to stand up and walk out, as he was dissatisfied with WCW's creative direction. As a final effort to try to get Raven to stay on the WCW roster, Eric Bischoff told Raven about a storyline which involed Raven beating his opponent and "taking their souls". This made Raven interested in staying with the company however, when Raven found out how the storyline would end (Dustin Rhodes a.k.a Goldust being behind the whole thing) he lost interest and asked for his release. Raven left the company in 1999.
