When Chyna Was Everywhere

Remember when WWF/WWE Diva Chyna was literally everywhere?
The WCW had Asya, but she never attained the popularity of Chyna.
Chyna was in magazines, on the covers of magazines and on TV, besides being in the WWE.
I remember that she had a reoccurring role on "3rd Rock From The Sun".
And Chyna also appeared on the cover and inside of a lot of fitness magazines as well.

You have to wonder what would have happened if the WCW's Christi Wolf aka Asya had met Chyna in the ring.

Kane and Tori - WWE

1998, when Kane formed a tag team with X-Pac and had a girlfriend...Tori.
Remember when he spoke only through the electrolarynx?
Then he could talk?
In 2000, Tori finally betrayed Kane and joined X-Pac and DX.

The Undertaker Playing Basketball

Yep.
That is the Undertaker, the Deadman, Mark Calaway number 33 playing basketball at Texas Wesleyan University during the 1985 - 1986 season.

And here he is before that at Waltrip High School in Houston Texas in 1983.
Interestingly, that is the same high school that Patrick Swayze went to, although he graduated before the Deadman's time there.

RIP Roddy Piper

He was one of a kind and he will be missed.
Rowdy Roddy Piper was a great wrestler and a great actor.
You could see how good of an actor he was just watching his ring persona.
He could go from laughing maniacally to quiet and calm in the blink of an eye.
If "artist" ever fit a wrestler, Roddy was one of those few.

RIP Roddy Piper

The Four Horsemen - NWA and WCW

You know I had forgotten just how many people had been in the Four Horsemen and how many incarnations there were.

The original group was Ric Flair, Arn and Ole Anderson and Tully Blanchard with James J. Dillon as their manager way back in 1986.
They broke Dusty Rhodes' ankle and hand, broke Ricky Morton's nose, injured Nikita Koloff's neck and held most of the titles in the NWA at one time or another.

Over the years, the group changed with only Ric Flair and Arn Anderson being the two constants.
Lex Luger, Barry Windham, Sting, Sid Vicious, Paul Roma, Brian Pillman, Chris Benoit, Steve "Mongo" McMichael, Curt Hennig, Jeff Jarrett (maybe) and Dean Malenko were all members at one time or another.
Arn said that Jarrett never was "really" a Horseman.

In 2014, Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, Barry Windham, and J.J. Dillon were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Madusa - WCW Wrestling

Debrah Anne Miceli aka Madusa aka Alundra Blayze, probably one of the best female wrestlers to ever grace a ring.

Madusa worked for World Championship Wrestling from 1991 to 1993 then after a brief stint in the WWF, from 1995 to 2001.

She won the Pro Wrestling Illustrated PWI Rookie of the Year award in 1988, in  All Japan Women's Pro-Wrestling she held the IWA World Women's Championship twice, the Tag League the Best with Mitsuko Nishiwaki, the American Wrestling Association's AWA World Women's Championship, the International World Class Championship Wrestling IWCCW Women's Championship, the World Championship Wrestling's WCW Cruiserweight Championship and the World Wrestling Federation's WWF Women's Championship three times.

Stephanie Bellars aka Gorgeous George - WCW

Stephanie Bellars was born on born January 25, 1978 in Rockford, Illinois.
She is best known for her time in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) as Gorgeous George (not to be confused with 1950s wrestler, but looking at her picture, is there a chance of that?)
Stephanie made her pro wrestling debut in WCW at the 1999 Spring Stampede.
"Macho Man" Randy Savage was dating her at the time and brought her in as his valet.
This was after Savage and Miss Elizabeth had broken up again.
Savage was injured, so the two didn't make it back onto TV until April 1999. The Macho Man started a feud with Ric Flair, so Stephanie (as Gorgeous George) started a feud with Flair's handpicked referee, Charles Robinson.
There was actually a match at Slamboree on May 9, 1999 where George faced Robinson, with her using the Macho Man's moves and Robinson using Flair's.
George won the match with the flying elbow, but that was enough for Stephanie and she said she didnt want to wrestle anymore.
She claimed she was injured in the match and started using crutches, which she used on "Rowdy" Roddy Piper when she turned heel.

Stephanie Bellars aka Gorgeous George - WCW

Stephanie left WCW and went to ECW in 2000. Since Savage had trademarked the name "Gorgeous George", she was simply called "George".
At Heatwave 2000, she was the valet of Tommy Dreamer, but she turned on him, joining Justin Credible.
During her time in ECW, she also had a feud with Francine.

In 2001, George married Misfits guitarist , Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein, and she also worked for GLOW as a referee.
She then went to Xtreme Wrestling Federation (XWF) and formed the X-Girls with former Nitro Girls Kristina Laum and Chiquita Anderson.

She showed up a few times after that in 2004 on TNA as Minsa, but it never really lead to anything.

In 2005, her husband Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein formed his own band "Gorgeous Frankenstein" named after his beautiful wife.

Jimmy "Jam" Garvin

James Williams was born on September 25, 1952 in Tampa, Florida.
He is a retired pro wrestler better known under his ring name Jimmy "Jam" Garvin as a member of the legendary Fabulous Freebirds.

Jimmy debuted in 1968 as Beau James, but he soon took the name "Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin.
He had two "brothers", Terry and Ron Garvin (actually Jimmy was Ron's stepson in real life) who he managed for awhile.

When Jimmy went to World Class Championship Wrestling, he brought along his real life cousin Valerie French, better known as Sunshine.
After awhile, Jimmy brought in his real life wife Patti Williams as Precious.

Jimmy left WCCW with Precious and went to American Wrestling Association (AWA).

Then he went to the Jim Crockett Promotions/World Championship Wrestling, and feuded with Wahoo McDaniel, Brad Armstrong and Magnum T.A., Ric Flair, Kevin Sullivan and others.

In 1989 he joined the Fabulous Freebirds.
Actually Jimmy had wrestled with Micheal Hayes, Buddy Roberts and Terry Gordy back in WCCW and was always considered "The fourth Freebird".

In 1993, Jimmy left WCW and went to Global Wrestling Federation.

Jimmy did go back to the WCW one more time though in 1994 at Superbrawl IV when he replaced the "injured" Michael Hayes.

He is retired now, and is an accomplished pilot and flight instructor.

Terry Funk - Pro Wrestling

How would I even start to do an entry on Terry Funk?
He was born on born June 30, 1944 in Hammond, Indiana and at age 64, he is still going strong.
Besides holding a honorary lifetime title from ECW, this man has held a ton of belts.
He has held titles in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), Stampede Wrestling, All Japan Pro Wrestling, Georgia Championship Wrestling, Juggalo Championship Wrestling, Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling and Championship Wrestling from Florida just to name a few.
And he has wrestled for ECW, WWF, WCW and WWE among others.
Along with his brother Dory, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2009 by Dusty Rhodes.

Terry Funk - Pro Wrestling

Terry won the Cauliflower Alley Club's Iron Mike Mazurki Award in 2005.
In 2004, he was inducted into the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum.
Terry was in the first ever barbed-wire match in the 70s against Dusty Rhodes.
He's been in matches involving ladders, thumbtacks, exploding rings, C4 explosives and numerous "retirement" matches.
To put it mildly, this man has done it all.

Chad Fortune

Chad Fortune was born August 13, 1967 in Roswell, Georgia.
He is a former professional football player (associated with the Indianapolis Colts, Miami Dolphins, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins, Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Bears at various times), a former pro wrestler for both the WWF and WCW and a monster truck driver.

Under the ring name "Travis", he teamed with Erik Watts (under the ring name Troy) in the WWF as "Tekno Team 2000".
The gimmick never really took off in the WWF and both men were released.

Chad went to WCW in 1997, and tag teamed with Dale Torborg as "The Pit Crew".
Chad was one of the wrestlers released by WCW in October 1999.

After that, Dale began driving the WCW Nitro Machine truck.
Then he drove Karl Malone's "Power Forward" truck for three years.
But probably his coolest truck was the Superman truck in 2005.
Chad dyed his hair black and adopted a Superman themed racing outfit.
He actually looked pretty good.
And he did well.
Chad was voted the Most Improved Driver at the Monster Jam World Finals Awards Banquet in 2005.

Fit Finlay - WCW

David Edward Finlay, Jr. was born on January 31,1959 in Belfast, Northern Ireland and before he became "Finlay" in the WWE, he was in the WCW as the Belfast Bruiser and Fit Finlay.
He debuted in World Championship Wrestling in 1995 using the Belfast Bruiser ring name (a nickname he had used while in the UK).
His tough guy image is NOT exaggerated.

Fit Finlay - WCW

During an episode of Monday Nitro, he was in a parking lot brawl with Lord Steven Regal that resulted in him sustaining an eye injury from broken glass, which caused him to wrestle with an eyepatch on for several months.
After this, he was involved in a match with Regal where he legitimately broke Regal's nose.
During a hardcore match at a WCW house show in Jackson, Mississippi in July 1999, Finlay suffered a badly lacerated nerve, which nearly cost him use of the leg.
When WCW was bought by the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), Finlay began working for them as a trainer for new wrestlers and he eventually wound up training the Divas.

While he was in the WCW, he held the WCW World Television Championship and won the WCW Hardcore Junkyard Invitational Trophy.
